Friday Finds — No. 2

Happy Friday! Before the weekend gets underway, I want to share one of my favorite resources with you: THERAPY for BLACK GIRLS.

Last fall, a good friend of mine told me about this website, and after I noticed multiple people sharing (and re-sharing) the link on social media, I knew I had to check it out. To my surprise, in addition to the therapist directory (which features mental health professionals across the country who provide high quality, culturally competent services to Black women and girls), there was also a podcast and a wealth of other information worth sharing — all brought to you by Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, a licensed Psychologist in Atlanta, Georgia.

I’m always blogging about mental health, so it’s fitting to post this resource here at EP.

When you have a few minutes, check out the website and listen to a few of the podcasts. (I promise you won’t regret it!) And just so you know, on this week’s episode, Dr. Joy and Dr. Marian Higgins, a Licensed Professional Counselor & Career Counselor, discussed mental wellness as it relates to careers and the workplace. (How perfect is that for me?)

Session 48: Career Questions Answered

Major kudos to Dr. Joy for encouraging the mental wellness of Black women and girls across the country! Please enjoy the podcast and follow Dr. Joy on social media:

Have a lovely weekend, y’all!
